Georgetown’s hilltop campus commands the same panoramic views of the Potomac River that it did over 200 years ago. Located in the quaint and famous residential village of Georgetown, the 104 acre campus is a self-contained community which combines academic and athletic excellence, and architectural beauty. Many Congressmen, Senators, media stars, NBA baketball legends and public figures are Georgetown alumni, including former President Bill Clinton.
Jr. Discovery students enjoy “The Big East” spirit of the Hoyas nationally ranked basketball team, access to the 14 museums of the Smithsonian, the largest concentration of libraries anywhere in the world, The Kennedy Center for The Performing Arts, and the trendy shops of downtown Georgetown.
An important social and educational component of Jr. Discovery is living and learning with others. Our residence hall is not only a place to sleep and live, but where you will interact with others from other parts
of the country and the world, developing deep and long lasting friendships. Our experienced team of Resident Counselors are available to you around-the-clock to ensure a smooth transition from home to campus living.
All Jr. Discovery students and staff live together under one roof in Village C Hall. Having one distinct “home” on campus provides numerous social, educational, and safety benefits.
All students stay in Village C, a modern, air-conditioned residence hall located in the heart of the Georgetown campus. Rooms are mostly doubles, each with a private bathroom and shower. Each room is equipped with desks, dressers, ample closet space, air-conditioning, telephone and high-speed internet access. Boys and girls are roomed in separate wings. Outstanding in-house facilities include lounges with big screen TV and DVDs, laundry rooms (lessons available), and the Jr. Discovery program office. Just next door are 8 tennis courts, the incredible Yates Field House Recreational Center and the new O’Donovan Dining Commons.
Jr. Discovery students eat in the new O’Donovan Dining Commons. This two-story state-of-the-art facility features spectacular views of the Potomac River. Students receive three all-you-can-eat meals a day, Monday through Friday, and two meals daily on Saturday and Sunday, while on campus. Included daily are choices of nutritious entrees, low-fat and vegetarian selections, salad bar, deli bar, fresh fruit, unlimited beverages, and a wide selection of desserts including soft serve/frozen yogurt.
